“Why do I feel like Fim?” Auri asked him sheepishly. Demetri pondered her question and after a moment responded. “Because Auri, she is still apart of you. Until you face her you will never fully diminish her existence.” A long moment passed between them; the cool air caressing strands of bronze curls across her rosy cheeks. The rather large building of three bedrooms equipped with privies, a kitchen, lab and common area was so cleverly hidden amongst the brush that Aureus was always closer to it than she realized when her eyes finally adjusted to the scene. The two story log cabin was built between three small hills so that its second floor appeared to be only barely above ground. The common room is reached by walking a slope between the two smallest hills which are covered with young redwoods and seasonal gardens. The path is outlined with large river stones which Gwydion in his youth, hauled in pairs from the creek just south of here.
